Major update: Development END - Production START - Project FUTURE

Hello everyone,
Todays update marks a big milestone for this project as we officially complete the development of our first batch of anime-themed Waifu Miniatures!
What started off as a campaign just for our Red Dragon Miniature exploded into a short burst line of 6 unique girls!
This line now goes under the official title of "The Origin". Given this name due to it being the line that will act as the starting point for The Waifu Forge. Quite literally our origin.
This line will consist of a total of 23 unique Waifu's, but more on that later.
For now, we will be revisiting all our finished stretch goal unlocked anime-themed miniatures in order.
-----Miniature Showcase - Final versions and Heights
Stretch Goal #1: Harpy - Aelleta
The first extra miniature unlocked in our campaign, originally just called "Harpy" we decided to name her following feedback from backers wanting to have a name for the face. There were also requests for more colored final renders so she is one of two that we currently have colored.
Her final height's are as follows:
30.6mm - 28mm Scale
42.86mm - 1/32 Scale
Stretch Goal #2: Centaur - ZenithDawntrotter
The last to be finished and arguably the most complex model in the current line-up, multiple changes were made since the last update which include a redesigned spear and readjustment to the clothes/armor on her torso. She towers over every other miniature in this line-up and rightfully so as a proud Centaur.
Her final height's are as follows:
42.67mm - 28mm Scale
66.68 - 1/32 Scale
This makes her the biggest in height and width of our lineup, so she will be shipping with her own specially sized base that can properly fit her size, should player want to use them for her.
Stretch Goal #3: Wolf - "Boss" Fangy "the Wild"
Most people would agree that this is the cutest miniature in our line-up, but she is also the smallest due to being a child-sized stature. She is one of the foremost considerations for making an even larger scale variation for.
Keeping true to our scaling system, her final height's are as follows:
24.4mm - 28mm Scale
38.13mm - 1/32 Scale
Stretch Goal #4: Bat - LenoraLaCroix
The simplest of the current line-up, she was deigned originally with thin "cut out" bats in her hand, but after attempting and failing to get them to print correctly or reliably, we modified her slightly so that there was an actual bat-like creature in her hand. This was done mainly since backers wanted her hand to be occupied by something so, the best option was the fluffy bat pudge.
Her final height's are as follows:
31.43mm - 28mm Scale
49.11 - 1/32 Scale
Stretch Goal #5:Lamia - Anastasia Hebra
A "pseudo" stretch goal. This miniature was released due to the success of backerkit sales and was promptly sold as a website exclusive miniature. As a Lamia, her height is difficult to pinpoint but we used the point her tail touches the ground first and up for the sake of our scaling calculation.
Her final height's are as follows:
32mm - 28mm Scale
50mm - 1/32 Scale
-----Future additionsto the project-
With Production now in full swing, we have sat down to think about the future and what we are doing next.
The first answer we reached after receiving feedback from backers is the creation of a 1/16th scale line for each of these models.
That way backers can have a bigger and more "paint friendly" model to work on. These 1/16th models will probably be fairly pricey due to their size, but nothing outside of the realm of possibility to make.
We could even go as large as 1/7 scale garage kits, but that really depends on what you, the backers, would like. As a 1/16 scale would already be fairly large and solely for display.
We also are looking for suggestions of what else to offer.
Perhaps backers would also like anime-themed Male characters, terrains, gears, custom bases, or something else entirely. Let us know!
-----"The Origin" Line Continuation.
This line of miniatures will continue and will be featured in our second campaign that will share the same name as the line.
"Waifu Forge Presents: "The Origin" Anime-themed DnD miniature line"
The full line will consist of 23 unique girls(including the 6 in this campaign, which means 17 new miniatures) and will be an eve bigger undertaking then this additional campaign, but due to fantastic support from the community, we are gearing up and preparing to tackle this challenge.
The new Miniatures featured in this second campaign, which we are predicting will have a goal of 30,000$, are being determined by the survey on our website.
The survey standings currently are as follows(in order of popularity):
#10: Amazon, #11: Elf, #12: Mermaid, #13: Undead, #14: Rogue, #15: Paladin, #16, Cleric, #17: Current 4 way tie.
The voting survey was also determined by the input from the backers in the backerkit survey.
Each of these will be uniquely designed and modeled and brought to life following a (hopefully) successful campaign.
After that, we have a few idea's including terrains, a new "Modern Fantasy" Line which would be fantasy beings in modern clothes. (Orc Waifu in 3 piece suit for example). We are also open to suggestions on what to add to help diversify our current "Portfolio".

Update on Aelleta, Lenora, Zenith, and Order Fulfillment!

Hey everyone!
We have a lot to talk about today and even more to show so let's dive right in:
We have updated the bats in Lenora LaCroix's hand for an easier printing experience, and the fat little guy makes a super cute companion for the gentle vampiress!
The knightly Zenith Dawntrotter is our final girl in production, and she is still awaiting some finer details.
Armor has been added to her legs and head, a spear and shield in her hands, and details across her anatomy and clothing.
She will be print-ready soon.
Order Fulfillment
With most of our girls at the production finish line, we move to the subject of order fulfillment.
We will handle fulfillment in the order of release starting with Aine Crimson (Red Dragon), then Aelleta (Harpy), Zenith Dawntrotter (Centaur), Boss Fangy (Wolf), Lenora LaCroix (Vampire), and Anastasia Hebra (Lamia).
Orders will ship once the entire order is ready. For example, if you have an order for Aine and Lenora your order will ship once Lenora is ready. This arrangement is to reduce shipping costs, and we will look for orders on our site that match KS orders to bundle and refund shipping costs attained from the site.
Long story short, if you already had an order from the Kickstarter/Backerkit and grabbed another girl from our site (such as the Lamia), we will bundle your orders and refund down to one shipping cost.
STLs will be sent, unsupported, once they have received final approval.
All miniatures will ship unprimed with a detached base, so you can customize the base or attach your own.
We have recently begun printing Aine to fulfill Red Dragon orders! Please keep an eye on these updates for the date of her shipment and launch, coming soon!

Hey everyone!
We hope you had a wonderful holiday (if you celebrate).
It's an incredibly exciting Monday here at WaifuForge because our website went live just last night!
As promised, we have unlocked the Lamia for preorder on our website to celebrate the launch! Also, while browsing the site, make sure to check out our News page for a brief rundown explaining the Workshop on our homepage.
All mini's are available on our site in both sizes, which includes final real-life size in the descriptions!

Lamia
As we continue working hard to finish up this lineup, we made a few quality of life additions to the Lamia to make her more interesting to look at, own and paint!

The late bloomer of the set, Centaur is finally in the sculpting phase with her initial blocking completed. Moving forward she still has alot of extra equipment that needs to be added including her spear and shield, but she's making great progress.

Production Updates and Sizes!

Hello everyone!
Today's update goes into depth on what we've done so far and finalizes a few key pieces of important of information that has been "in the air" which include things like sizing.
But firstly, we'd like to show off our girl's and the progress we've made so far!
Harpy
First up we have the Harpy Miniature.
Using the concept, we made her wings smaller(about 40% compared to the concept) for many reasons including just being too darn large.
Her pose has been adjusted so it looks more natural and to prevent problems like breaking and fragility due to her size/weight. (We originally planned to have her stand on one foot)
She is currently sitting in the mid-stages of modeling, but we expect her to be done fairly soon and ready to begin printing.

Vampire
Following a few minor changes, the "Bat" or "Vampire" girl is now ready to go!
The bats over her hand are currently under debate whether we will keep or remove them.

Wolf
The smallest miniature in our line, we simplified her design a bit to allow players more customizability by imagination. This also makes her feel more "wolfy" and lithe.
This model otherwise had a smooth production from beginning to end.

The Artist working on her also felt very excited and colored her to their liking to create this beautiful render. And while she will be coming unpainted and these colors aren't official, she does look very nice in blue!

Lamia
A miniature we've been getting many questions about, the Lamia is entering her final phase of modeling!
We deviated ever so slightly from her concept to give her an older, more regal appearance, while adding definition to her musculature to help make her "pop".
One change we will be making is to the end of her tail, which we will be making it wrap around more circularly then squiggly, so she can balance/sit on a base better.

Pre-orders for this miniature will open once we launch our site, which is almost finished.
At the usual 5$ and 20$ price range.
Sizing
Following up on our last sizing update, we received alot of mixed responses in our discord, comments and even private DM's that were for or against the changes we decided to make.
Because of that, we decided to take a step back and re-evaluate a few things from the project and we now have our final decisions on the topic of size.
This decision was reached by consulting with other experts in the field from players to dungeon masters and a few company owners(Brick & mortar stores).
And rather then go through another changelog. We will be giving everyone the planned heights of the miniatures.
Firstly, we are reverting our decision to size up the 2.25inch red dragon to 4.5 inches(1:32 scale to 1:16 scale) and will be producing the larger size at a strict 1:32 scale.
This will make leave the larger display mini's at the following heights(Approximately):
Red Dragon: 57.25mm
Harpy: 47.63mm
Wolf: 38.13mm
Vampire: 49.11mm
Centaur: 66.68mm Note: This miniature is being designed with her "rearing up", so she will most likely be taller than this. Unless we decide to keep all 4 legs on the ground.
Once again, we are making the smaller variations in 28mm scale, but there have been questions in regards to how big that would make them exactly. Currently, the 28mm scale mini's will be as follows(Approximately):
Red Dragon: 36.64mm
Harpy: 30.48mm
Wolf: 24.4mm
Vampire: 31.43mm
Centaur: 42.67mm Note: This miniature is being designed with her "rearing up", so she will most likely be taller than this. Unless we decide to keep all 4 legs on the ground.
For those who would prefer a more visual approach, here are the two sizes side by side with each other along with the other completed figures in the line.

Bases
There was a discussion on our Discord server (which you should totally be a part of, link below) about having the miniatures without the base attached so that someone could customize the base or choose a different base altogether.
Currently, we have 2 "universal" sizes of bases that go to each miniature size.
But, if people prefer to have the miniature + bases shipped together but separate, let us know!
if this doesn't matter to you, also let us know since this will change how we approach production of the miniatures.

More Production Updates! Vampire, Wolf, and Harpy!

Hello everyone!
Todays update is a big one with alot of fun previews to show off!
Previously we predicted the completion of this first wave of figures to be in a minimum of 6 months, but at the current rate things are getting done, we are expecting the miniatures to be finished much sooner!
Currently, only the "Centaur" figure has yet to enter the Modeling Stage, but she is also the most difficult of the set to make. More difficult then the Red Dragon even!
More importantly though, read on to look at the progress of the models!
Vampire
Vampire pre-polish step
First up is our Vampire/Bat girl who is now in her final pass of development.
A few issues we currently have with her are the right side long-bangs which are a bit odd visually when looking at her from the right side, it's a minor fix, which may not even be noticeable in the 1/64 scale but regardless, it's worth fixing!
The little bats in her hand may or may not stay.
Wolf
Another late in-process girl is the Wolf girl!
She is progressing smoothly with her entering the final polish stage very soon.
No particular problems on this model so far, just alot of smug.
Harpy

The earliest in the modeling stages is our Harpy Girl Miniature.
The colors in these pictures are not official, the sculpture just wanted to add some for the heck of it.
Starting in a T-pose, she is in the "Blocking" phase which is where we work to get all the big shapes worked out before heading into the final detailing.
Still, her progress is smooth without any major issues thus far. We did modify her wings from the final concept due to their size though.
Website
Work on the website is continuing and we are almost at the stage where we can go live.
When it does, we will be releasing the "Lamia" miniature as part of the launch celebration and will be a website only exclusive miniature!
Vision for the Future:
As work continues faster then we anticipated, we started looking toward what we want to do in the future and we are currently playing around the idea of introducing a "Gacha Miniature" line.
Similar to normal Gacha-related things, customers would buy "1 box" and inside would be a random miniature from the featured line-up.
Each line-up would consist of 4-5 "Base" girls, whose default state would be "common", making it easy for anyone to get the monster girls.
The "rare" miniatures would be the base girls but in an alternate pose.
The "Super rare" miniatures, would feature the base girls in a new outfit + pose.
And then the "Ultra rare" would be a more flashy/intricate version of the default outfit with a matching pose.
Finally, we would also introduce "Mythic" rarity miniatures which would be 1-2 of the base girls in a themed outfit/pose for example, "Beach Time Red Dragon" or "Tiny Cafe Maid Wolf".
We think this sort of take may make things more fun and interactive, while also building community as people who open boxes buy, trade or sell the miniatures they get.
Effectively becoming "collectable anime miniatures" in a sense.
