48 Hour Extension! Plus Harpy, Centaur, and Lamia Updates!

Hey everyone! 

All backers should have received a 48-hour notice from Backerkit to fill out their surveys and finalize their orders! We have extended the previous deadline in order to give everyone extra time to customize their orders before the lock. Please make sure you jump in and get those done!

Our artist has put in some serious work with the concepts for our girls, and we have some updates to show the community! 

Harpy

For the Harpy, we felt that a dynamic action pose suited her personality and "lightweight" body.  Adding some more life to her overall. Moving toward the refining stage, we are going to be using the top left as our miniature pose.

Centaur

A massive change from the original concept. Our Centaur has gone from a Paladin with a Mace to a more warrior-esque individual featuring a Pavise shield.  We also shifted her pose from a charge to more of a threatening "rearing" of her body to instill fear into her enemies.

Lamia

The Lamia that many people have asked for is finally full conceptualized! 

Going a bit against the grain from the normal "monstrous" and "dangerous" vibes attributed to the Lamia, we made her regal and noble with an air of royalty.  

Website

For our backers who are waiting to see more finished designs, we will have a website up and running in the near future to buy our girls. The Kickstarter campaign was created to fund their design and development, but each girl takes 2-3 months of work to reach the print stage. The website is our solution for everyone to pick up girls they didn't grab during the KS campaign.

Backerkit Order Lock in 2 days! Size References! Printed Red Dragons!

Hey everyone! 

We still have a sizable amount of our backers who have not filled out their survey on Backerkit. Orders will lock in 2 days, so please log in and take that survey soon. And if there are any changes you want to make to your order, make sure you do that; otherwise, once orders lock they will not be editable.

For everyone looking to make purchases after the lock, keep on the lookout for the upcoming Website launch announcement (Launch Date TBD).

Size Comparison

We've received several requests for a size comparison of our printed Red Dragon 28mm and 4.25in sizes alongside other miniatures. In the image below, we have both printed sizes standing beside HeroForge brand miniatures. 

Red Dragon Update

Our Dragon girl is looking fine and fierce in her printed stage, but she has a few weak points that damage easily during shipping. We are refining these details for additional strength, with minimal change to her overall design. She is almost ready to ship out!

Specifically, her right wing has a tendency to break off her back and there are a few thin parts on her skirt on the smaller scale. 

We will be thickening those fabrics as well as rotating the wing a bit so it overlaps slightly with the body thus making it overall much more durable.

Patreon

We have decided not to move forward with a Patreon page, for several reasons. We were initially asked by the community to create one for ongoing development, but we feel strongly that Patreon isn't the best fit for our products and how we want to operate moving forward.

Clarifications and Changes on Sizing! Plus, an Update on Vampire and Wolf Girls!

Hey everyone, 

Though the campaign has finished the momentum hasn't let up for a moment. We've taken the time to step back and identify some possible confusion when it comes to our sizing chart, so we'd like to address a few things:

28mm Scale

Here and there, there has been some confusion as to what we mean when we say "28mm miniature". To clarify, Our miniature's are 28mm scale, or 1/64 scale. This means that the size of the figure will not be exactly 28mm, but very depending on the size of the character. So a 1/64 of a tall character like "Red Dragon" will be much taller then a 1/64 of a character like our "Wolf" miniature.

2.25in to 4.25in 

Backer feedback has made us aware that the larger option is primarily going to be used for display purposes only, instead of tabletop gaming. 

As a sign of thanks for the outstanding support we've received, we're upgrading the size of the larger Miniature option to stand over 4 inches for a more impressive display in proportion to their size. To help visualize, this leaves the "Red Dragon" larger version standing at about 4.25 inches. And short characters like "Wolf" will be around the 2.5-3 inch range most likely.  

These changes will have no effect on price and shouldn't effect backers. 

Vampire and Wolf Concept Updates

Once we received the funds from the Kickstarter campaign, we jumped headfirst into making progress on the girls. We will continue to provide updates as often as we can. 

Our Wolf girl's weapon will be detachable from the base for extra customization. 

Both girls have updated finer details. We are getting close to to the modeling phase for these girls.

Backerkit Store Now Available!

Hey everyone! 

Small but exciting update!

We have officially launched the "smoke test" for our backerkit, meaning 5% of backers should have received their surveys. 

Once we get enough of these surveys returned with no issues, we will release the other 95% for everyone which should happen within the next day or so. 

We have also launched the pre-order store through backerkit for non-backers/new folks which can be found through the link on our Kickstarter page!(Big red button on desktop and mobile, currently not displaying on the Kickstarter App). 

As we mentioned in our last update, the Backerkit has been set up to allow for increased customization for your order. Please review the previous update for an in-depth explanation of how to customize your order, details about the Vampire girl, details about the Lamia girl, and clarification on international shipping.

Backerkit Coming soon! (A biggen update)

Hey everyone!

We've been getting several questions through comments, DMs, and through our Discord (which you should totally join here) about various topics such as updates on the girls, clarifications on timelines, not having enough time to update your pledges, etc. 

Let's jump in and address some things!

Backerkit

After exploring several different pledge managing options, we have opted to utilize Backerkit. The main reason for this is due to Backerkits system of automatically applying over pledged backers with a credit to use as they see fit. 

It also allows backers to fully customize their pledges/rewards as they want by even moving down a tier to get more credit to use how they want.

Backers can also add any item they want to their pledges at any quantity.

To keep things simple, we are only making the 1$ tier available to be switched too, freeing up the difference in the amount paid as a credit that can be applied to claim products a la carte.

 Did you want the Centaur, but not the Harpy? You now have the ability to customize fully.

To illustrate: 

If you pledged 200$ but don't want the Centaur. You can switch to the 1$ tier and use the 200$ credit to pick up anything. (for example 10x Red Dragon 2.25 miniatures). 

Likewise, if you missed a reward or want more of a certain item, you can add it to your pledge and check out through backerkit.(Stripe and paypal supported). All items are available! 

Early Discount Backers: we will still honor the price for overpledges we stated in the previous update, but Backerkit doesn't have the functionality we need to specify that certain backers get a discount. We're solving this problem by manually refunding every early discount backer on the amount they overpay, depending on your final cart. We sincerely apologize for the roundabout solution, and we will have a much more convenient solution in place for later campaigns.

International shipping: Backerkit requires us to put an international shipping rate down, but we do not currently have an international shipping solution. As such, any international orders made will be simply refunded.

Vampire Miniature: Given the final funding amount the campaign reached, we feel that it is only right to unlock the Vampire girl for the Backerkit. She will have a 28mm option, a 2.25in option, and a STL option. Available as an add on that you can purchase or put any spare credit towards. 

Lamia Miniature: There have been some asking about her, so we will keep an eye on the backerkit and see if we can raise enough money there to fund her creation. If we do, expect to find her in the "Add-On" section.

Backers will be able to change their orders how they see fit until the order "lock-in" date which we have slated for early march. After that, orders will not be editable so be sure you are sure of what you want by then! 

Finally, since we are using backerkit, be sure to keep an eye out for the backerkit email you will all be receiving within the next week. That will be your key to get to your pledge and we will also be putting the backerkit "pre-order" store link on this kickstarter so anyone who missed the campaign can order the miniatures!

New Logo

Onto a more "artsy" topic, We're happy to unveil our new logo! The logo will be featured on the bottom of the base of each of our printed girls and on the STL files! 

Updates On The Girls

Our process for each girl takes roughly 2-3 months from conception to print-ready, so we won't have an update to show every week. But we are working toward recruit more hands to help speed this process up but because we are very particular about quality, the hands we can use and be happy with is very limited.

 Red Dragon:  print-ready, we are just waiting to receive the funds from the campaign to buy the resin needed to start printing her orders. We will ship out each backer's order once their entire order is finished, so orders that only involve the Red Dragon will ship out sooner than orders involving later girls who haven't reached the print stage yet.

Also, we noticed some confusion on the Vampire and Wolf Concepts. On the campaign page, the concept for the Vampire and the Wolf was on the same image, titled "Wolf and Bat". We apologize for this confusion, and we will take steps to make sure we present our concepts more clearly moving forward. See below.

Patreon

We are actively brainstorming how best to utilize a Patreon page, as we want to create a page that engages the community in our design process yet also delivers on the value each patron would be spending per month. We cannot deliver a new girl every month and ensure our level of quality, but there are other ways we can deliver on value. Please feel free to offer suggestions or insight as we continue to evaluate solutions.
